    Initial Lottery for 2025-2026 Complete

Our initial lottery for the 2025-2026 school year was completed Thursday, February 27. All applicants should have received notices by email of their lottery results. If your child was offered a spot, you must accept or acknowledge the spot to hold it. If you applied, but have not yet received notice, check your email’s spam folder, and contact the school if you still do not see an email from HCCPS Admissions.

    FEATURED STUDY

Reds & Oranges UN Rights of the Child Quilt

Students have been working for a few weeks now trying to understand first the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and then more specifically the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We had discussions about how certain groups of people need special protection–that the UDHR is not enough. We talked specifically about refugees and children needing extra support.  We enjoyed working on our quilt squares depicting a right of the child. Students worked with someone from the other 4th/5th grade class to cut and glue fabric pieces to represent one of the rights in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
